The second release of the series features the Three Graces design created by William Wyon in 1817. This Three Graces bullion bar is struck from 1 Troy oz. The bar is rectangular shaped, measuring 50.14 x 29.16 mm with rounded corners. The bar is crafted with an attractive brilliant uncirculated finish. The bar will arrive in its original Mint package. The bar features a unique serial number. Mintage is limited to 4,000 pieces with just 3,000 being available outside of the UK. Gorgeous Depiction of the Three Graces. Obverse: The Three Graces, the daughters of Zeus in Greek mythology, stand on the obverse before an arcade of Greek Doric columns at daybreak. The trio is dressed similarly in elegant gowns and sandals, with wreaths of laurel woven through their hair. The meander patterned border at the floor and ceiling resembles the graphics on the reverse. The modernization of Wyon’s famed design is the work of Royal Mint Product Designer sculptor Daniel Thorne. Reverse: Centered on the reverse is the inscription “1 OZ 999.9 FINE GOLD, ” upon a skillfully etched Greek art inspired meander patterned background. Above, “THE ROYAL MINT” is inscribed beside the Mint’s distinctive heraldic shield and crown logo, with the bar’s individualized serial number located below.
