Please have a look at this collection of four solid gold tokens. These pieces are struck in 22 Karat or. 917 Fine Yellow Gold. They have total combined metal weight of 1.13 grams. These tokens feature a 1924 Liberty/Eagle design. Each medal contains about 0.28 grams of gold. They are believed to have been struck by The Rhodes Commemorative Society of Houston, Texas. The COA gives the date of 1908 and lists the purity as 24K. Apparently, Rhodes struck 1908 and 1924 dated pieces. We offer these items as we found them in an iridescent silver gift box. Medals are unmarked as to purity but test to 22K or better. Most often they were hallmarked on their edge or reverse. Tokens were most likely intended for jewelry. These tiny medals are smaller than a dime. They are not legal tender; just unusual gold tokens. We note that the gold piece illustrated in pictures 9 and 10 is struck slightly off center. This medal is a neat find for the minting error enthusiast! These pieces are in attractive circulated condition. They display bold detail and gleaming luster. Some of the pieces show light wear or slight bends. Perhaps they are former jewelry pieces. The COA has one light crease. The box is lined and looks great. This is a valuable collection of mini medals. Please view pictures to determine grade and attribution for yourself. The items pictured are the exact ones that you will receive unless noted. Dime and scale are not included. Please view our selection of gold, silver, coins, tokens and more. We love rare and unusual numismatic items and try to offer a few each week so check back with us.
