Robin Red Lake Mines incorporated in 1945 to acquire 12 mining claims that bordered Dickenson Mines to the east. Due to its proximity, Robin Red Lake Mines soon attracted the attention of Dickenson Mines. While Robin Red Lake Mines maintained ownership of the claims, in the 1950’s Dickenson Mines, Dome Mines and Noranda Mines financed an underground exploration program through the Dickenson Mines shaft. By the 1960’s Robin Red Lake Mines was operating as a subsidiary of Dickenson Mines. Robin Red Lake Mines went into production in 1970, processing ore at Dickenson Mines. In 1978, Robin Red Lake Mines was officially absorbed into Dickenson Mines. Like all of the Dickenson Mines subsidiaries, Robin Red Lake Mines production totals have now been included in the overall production values for Dickenson Mines.
